Water Valuation
Analysts predict that within the next decade, competition for water resources
will intensify dramatically. Water demands frequently outstrip developed supplies,
and with agriculture, communities, and the environment all requiring reliable
supplies of this increasingly valuable and scarce resource, there is a compelling
need for accurately estimating the current and future values of water in alternative
uses. As water markets are not fully developed in most regions, this value
is often very difficult to establish.
NEA has conducted many studies to estimate the values of water in alternative uses. These studies use rigorous economic and quantitative analyses and provide clients with clearly developed, defensible estimates that they use in buying or selling water. To learn more about these projects, contact us.
